Renaissance Zones

Renaissance zones are virtually free of all state and local taxes for businesses located within their boundaries. There are over 150 geographic areas in Michigan that are designated as renaissance zones. 

There are also industry specific zones for firms doing business in agricultural processing, renewable energy, forest products processing and in the tool and die industry.

Counties with a symbol are those counties that contain geographic areas that are tax free. Click on a county from the interactive map below to display Renaissance Zones in that county.
